The task of institutional research is to develop and maintain measures of effectiveness in carrying out the mission of the UW Colleges. Fact Book

The Fact Book is published annually through the Office of Academic Affairs, the Fact Book provides an overview of the people, programs and partnerships associated with the mission of the UW Colleges.

Research Matters

A periodic publication, each issue of Research Matters provides discussion and supporting data on topics central to the UW Colleges Academic mission.

Retention Report

This report summarizes retention to a second year for new freshmen who began enrollment at the UW Colleges in the fall terms 2004 thru 2008. The report includes a series of sub-reports based on student characteristics. Each of the retention sub-reports includes first term course load as a criteria either for inclusion in the report or for placement into groups within the sub-report. This builds on years of retention reporting showing that course load has a significant impact on student retention. Most of the sub-reports exclude students beginning the first term of enrollment with fewer than six credits.

Growth Agenda Institutional Change Grant Proposal

These documents are referred to in the UW Colleges Office of Academic Affairs 2013 Growth Agenda grant proposal. UW Colleges seeks funding to support a three-year Access to Success(A2S) project. The A2S Part-Time Student Attainment, Retention and Transfer (PART) project aims to reduce the considerable success gap between full and part-time students enrolled at UW Colleges. Investing in Wisconsin’s Future – A Growth Agenda Accountability Report is produced annually by the Office of Academic Affairs. This report, along with equivalent reports from the other UW System Institutions and from the UW System Administration, together make up the UW System Accountability Report distributed widely to stakeholders and decision makers throughout Wisconsin. Achieving Excellence

Before 2009 Achieving Excellence at UW Colleges was the name of the report produced annually by the Office of Academic Affairs. Along with similar reports produced by each of the University of Wisconsin System institutions, Achieving Excellence at UW Colleges becomes part of the annual UW System Accountability Report distributed widely to stakeholders and decision makers throughout Wisconsin.
