The Fact Book was published annually through the Office of Academic Affairs and provided an overview of the people, programs, and partnerships that came together to deliver the UW Colleges mission. This document was a source of facts and figures for internal audiences within the UW Colleges and the University of Wisconsin System. External constituencies also benefited from this publication when pursuing grants, fundraising, legislative advocacy, special projects, and collaborative initiatives. The information contained in the Fact Book includes:
- retention, graduation, and transfer rates;
- applications and admission;
- enrollment and student demographics;
- course analyses and instructional resources;
- faculty and instructional staff;
- financial aid, budget analyses, and municipal support; and
- campus and program profiles.
Campus profiles provide key information for the 14 University of Wisconsin Colleges campuses including:
- 10-year enrollment and graduation trends,
- Gender and race/ethnicity representation,
- First generation and Pell status, and
- ACT Scores and high school rank.
This retention reportsummarizes retention to a second year for new freshmen who began enrollment at the UW Colleges in fall 2014. The report includes a series of sub-reports based on student characteristics. Each of the retention sub-reports includes first term course load as a criteria either for inclusion in the report or for placement into groups within the sub-report. Most of the sub-reports exclude students beginning the first term of enrollment with fewer than six credits.

This report, along with equivalent reports from the other UW System Institutions and from the UW System Administration, together make up the UW System Accountability Report distributed widely to stakeholders and decision makers throughout Wisconsin. Before 2009 Achieving Excellence at UW Colleges was the name of the report produced annually by the Office of Academic Affairs. Along with similar reports produced by each of the University of Wisconsin System institutions, Achieving Excellence at UW Colleges becomes part of the annual UW System Accountability Report distributed widely to stakeholders and decision makers throughout Wisconsin.
