BIO171: Animal Biology

 

The Biological Sciences Department of the UW Colleges invites applications for adjunct, non-tenure track instructors in the Biological Sciences at its UW Sheboygan campus. The immediate hire is for Spring 2018, with teaching opportunities the following academic year.

COURSES: Part-time instructional need for Spring 2018 semester is: BIO 171: Animal Biology

Future instructional needs may include any of the following courses in addition to the above:
BIO 101: Concepts of Biology
BIO 285/286: Anatomy and Physiology (parts one and two)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline, and successful teaching experience at the university level.
Preferred: Terminal degree in discipline.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach introductory- and intermediate-level courses; hold appropriate office hours; attend orientation activities; and, perform required grading, assessment, and reporting tasks.
 
STARTING DATE:
Contract starts January 15, 2018. Spring classes begin January 22, 2018.  Staff orientation is scheduled within the contract period.

COMPENSATION:
Compensation is determined by course load and rank (Associate Lecturer, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer), which is determined by highest degree attained and university teaching experience.
