So you've applied to college. Congratulations! You've taken the first step in a new journey, which is both exciting and a bit daunting. College is a whole new ballgame, and now that you've applied you probably have some questions.

Our Solution Center staff are experts at helping future students through the application and enrollment process. Here are some of the most common questions they hear from future students.

1. How can I check my application status?

This is the number one question from students who have applied to a UW Colleges campus. First, check your email. You'll get regular email updates with tons of information. Emails will touch on your application status, enrollment directions, tuition payments and more. If you don't see any emails, check the University of Wisconsin Online Application site for updates on your status.

2. I've applied, what do I do next?

After applying, keep an eye on your email for information on setting up your campus account. After you've been accepted and set up your account, look into advising and registration sessions available at your campus. These events will set you up with an advisor so you can enroll in classes that best fit with your college goals.

3. Where can I learn about paying for school?

The UW Colleges website is a great resource for learning about financial aid and paying for school. Whether you have questions about total cost, ways to pay or due dates the website has information for all your needs.

4. Why do I have to sign a Terms and Conditions agreement?

Students must sign a Terms and Conditions agreement before each semester. The Terms and Conditions agreement provides an outline of what is expected of students during the enrollment process and serves as a financial contract between students and UW Colleges.

5. What is PRISM, and why do I need to use it?

PRISM is a software application that students use to complete tasks online.  PRISM lets you search and enroll for classes, make tuition payments view your college transcripts and more. When you apply to UW Colleges, you'll need to set up a PRISM account. New users can visit the PRISM Help page for more information.

6. I need help setting up my PRISM or email account!
