Bachelor's Degrees at Private Schools with Scholarships for UWC Students
Northland College Agreement
(Effective September 2003 - September 2008)
Summary: A UW Colleges student who earns an Associate of Arts and Science (AAS) degree with at least a 2.75 grade point average and who is admitted for transfer to Northland College in Ashland, WI, will be awarded a scholarship to Northland College ranging from $4,000-$7,000.
Agreement: Northland College offers junior year status to students from the thirteen University of Wisconsin Colleges who have completed the Associate of Arts and Sciences degree and who are admitted by Northland College. No more than 65 (sixty-five) semester hours of transfer credit will be applied toward the Northland College degree. Courses must be liberal arts courses passed with a grade of "C-" or better. Junior year standing means that at least 59 (fifty-nine) credit hours need to be successfully completed at Northland College in order for the student to have met the course requirements for graduation from Northland College.
All academic work on the college level and of a liberal arts nature undertaken at UW Colleges and successfully completed with a grade of "C-" or better will become part of the student's permanent record at Northland College. Official transcripts of such work must be presented at the time of application for admission. Grades from transfer courses will not be recorded on the transcript or included in the Northland College grade point average.
Scholarships
A Northland College academic scholarship will be awarded to any enrolling UW- Colleges transfer student who has completed one of the above degrees and is enrolled full-time as follows:
- GPA of 3.51 or higher: $7000
- GPA of 3.00 3.50 = $6000
- GPA of 2.75 2.99 = $4000
