Youth Options

Youth Options is open to any Wisconsin public school junior or senior who has maintained a high grade point average in high school and displayed the level of responsibility and maturity needed to succeed in a college level course. If approved by the school board, the student can receive both high school and college credit upon successful completion of the course.

College courses taken by high school students become part of the permanent University record and may affect subsequent admission to post-secondary institutions. Please be aware that a poor grade earned in a Youth/Course Options course could have a negative impact on a future admissions decision for a student.

The UW Colleges 14 campuses offer Youth Option.

For more information, check out the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Youth Options.
