Acoording to a February 2015, UW Colleges survey, most UW Colleges students are not actively involved with illegal drugs. While the perception exists that many college students are using marijuana these days, the survey data shows that 67% of female students and 62% of male students reported they had NEVER used marijuana. Only 11-12% of students responding to the survey had used marijuana in the past month.
Illicit drug use in general is very low for for UWC students according to the same survey:
Methamphetamine - No students used in past month, only 1% had ever used it at all.
Amphetamine - 3% had used in the past 30 days.
Heroin - No students used in past month, only 1% had ever used it at all.
Sedatives - 3% had used in the past 30 days.
Past Year Use of Prescription Stimulants and Narcotics = 5% for each category.
