Statement

Gregory Nathan Johnson's philosophy, as it pertains to art, is that anyone can learn to draw, paint, sculpt, design or appreciate art. There is no genius behind art, only a desire to learn and working smart to reach your goals. Learning how to create or look at art requires critical thinking and problem solving skills; skills that are important to develop no matter what your goals may be. The added benefit is that learning to create art brings life-long enjoyment and is just purely fun.

Johnson's paintings, prints and drawings have appeared in numerous exhibitions in Michigan and Wisconsin. Notably, his works have appeared in the Grand Rapids Public Museum and he has been awarded Best of 2-D in Portland Community Arts Council's Annual Juried Exhibition for 2012.

Mr. Johnson has several years of experience teaching art to a diverse body of students. Johnson's past teaching history includes teaching at KCAD Kendall College of Art and Design and Grand Rapids Christian High School.
