Statement

My current research focuses upon the civic rights and responsibilities of colonists in Hellenistic Smyrna (c. 300 BC) and Herodotus' use of the term Medism in his history of the Persian Wars. I am also very interested in a wide variety of outdoor activities including cycling, hiking, Nordic skiing, and canoe camping in wilderness areas.
