Consistent and correct use of the logo is important to clear communications and achieving our goal of increasing awareness. The logo may be reproduced in either positive or negative versions. It may be used in black or the specified colors.
The logo in its positive form.

When printing in one color, always use black.
The logo in its negative form.

Use extreme caution when using the logo in its negative form.
- Do not use the logo in its negative form when printing on newsprint or other inexpensive papers. The contrast between light and dark areas will not be strong enough to clearly communicate.
- Do not use the logo in this form on faxes. The black ink will bleed into the white letters.
The logo in its color form.

The only acceptable colors are black and PMS 200.
Color-Reversed

The color version of the logo's negative form (see cautions for negative form). To be used on black or dark backgrounds The only acceptable colors for the logo itself are black and PMS 200.
Logo Clearspace
The unified symbol and words create the logo that the public recognizes. It is essential to maintain the graphic standards laid out here.
A generous amount of space should surround the logo, no other elements should infringe upon this space. The minimum clearspace needed is specified relative to the height of the "UW" Square, more specifically the clearspace should be 1/2 the height of the "UW" Square.
It should not be placed near other logos or distracting elements.
The logo cannot be cut apart or positioned in any way that will disturb the integrity of the design.

Logo Size Requirements
Maximum: There is no maximum size for using the University of Wisconsin Colleges campus logos.
Print Minimum:
The minimum size for using the logo, in general, is 1 inch wide. Do not use the tagline at minimum size or at any size where it becomes illegible.
Web Minimum:
The minimum size for using the logo, in general, is 150 pixels wide. Do not use the tagline at minimum size or at any size where it becomes illegible.
