Duties

This is a working supervisor position that is responsible for the direction of custodial activities and services, including furniture set up for events, and work scheduling for special events. This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility along with the direct supervision of all custodial staff, as well as some administrative, security and safety duties. The position will also oversee the removal of snow and ice during the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

Must have ability to operate cleaning equipment; Must have valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions; Must be able to read and follow work instructions and schedules, warning signs, and instructions for equipment operations; Must be able to properly mix cleaning fluids according to mathematical ratios; Must know proper methods, cleaning agents, and equipment for janitorial work; Must have basic knowledge of and ability to recognize and implement safety procedures, including precautions in the use of caustic and toxic chemicals, methods of lifting heavy objects and wearing of safe work clothing; Must have physical strength and stamina to perform required work, including ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, move furniture and work on feet for long periods of time; Must be comfortable using a computer and have some familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and be able to learn to use new software programs relatively quickly; Must have ability to work alone as well as with others; Must possess sound communication and interpersonal skills; Must have ability to organize projects in an orderly fashion; Must have ability to plan and manage time efficiently.

Note: Employment will require a criminal background check.
