Instructional Academic Staff: Spanish

The University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan seeks instructional academic staff for the 2008-2009 academic year for the following Spanish classes.
Fall Semester: SPA 101 First Semester Spanish (4 credits)
For students who have had no previous training in the language. Emphasis on reading, writing, listening and speaking in Spanish. Classes also may include cultural studies of Spain and Latin America.
Spring Semester: SPA 105 Second Semester Spanish (4 credits)
Continuation of SPA 101. Prereq: SPA 101 or consent of instructor.
Fall Semester: SPA 201 Third Semester Spanish (4 credits)
Reviews grammar taught during first two semesters while adding new material with some stress on idiomatic usage. All four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) are practiced and continued emphasis is placed on acquisition of cultural knowledge. Prereq: SPA 105 or consent of instructor.
Spring Semester: SPA 205 Fourth Semester Spanish (4 credits)
Continuation of SPA 201. Reading, writing, audio/oral practice, cultural insights based on literary texts in Spanish. Prereq: SPA 201 or consent of instructor.
Pending funding approval, there is a possibility of offering other advanced level classes.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a Masters in Spanish required, with some college teaching experience preferred.
