Campus Assessment Coordinators

The Campus Assessment Coordinator shall be responsible for the following:

  1. Promoting assessment on the campus:

a.       Promoting active involvement in assessment activities by campus administrators, instructors, professional staff, and students.

b.      Promoting and assisting in the integration of assessment of student learning across the campus and the institution.

c.       Disseminating information about assessment to campus colleagues.

  1. Coordinating assessment on the campus:

a.       Overseeing and monitoring assessment activities on the campus.

b.      Encouraging instructors and professional staff to use the results from assessment activities to improve curricular and co-curricular activities and programs.

c.       Convening division-specific and campus-wide meetings on assessment at least once a semester during the academic year.

d.      Planning assessment professional development opportunities (i.e., guest speakers, workshops, reading circles, and the like).

  1. Communicating with both the campus and the Office of Academic Affairs regarding assessment:

a.       Keeping instructors, professional staff, administration, and the UW Colleges Office of Academic Affairs informed of campus assessment activities, issues, and/or concerns.

b.      Disseminating information from the UW Colleges’ Office of Academic Affairs relating to assessment (i.e., assessment data, campus reports, professional development opportunities, CV town meetings, assessment conferences, etc.) to the campus community.

c.       Participating in meetings with other Campus Assessment Coordinators.
